On the Luxury Tour, you’ll experience Icelandic history, stories, and local flavors in a truly unique setting. Accompanied by your own private guide, you’ll explore the mysterious, man-made Caves of Hella. The caves are a protected historical site and believed to be among Iceland's oldest surviving archaeological remains, with some theories suggesting they predate the Viking settlement of Iceland. As you explore, your dedicated local guide will share fascinating insights, stories, and legends, bringing the caves’ remarkable past to life.
As part of the experience, you’ll have the opportunity to taste Icelandic specialties, including Flóki whisky, VOR premium gin and Víti brennivín from Eimverk Distillery. Flóki is Iceland's first and only whisky, made from barley grown on a nearby farm. You can also sample mead (honey wine) from Öldur meadery in Hella, followed by a selection of local delicacies sourced from the local butchery Villt og alið.
